The Trident Private Equity funds have invested in smaller companies since 1999.

The team has invested a total of £236 million in 36 companies.  Of the 27 UK-based investments, 18 have been realised for an aggregate return of 2.3x cash multiple and 54% IRR. Nine remain unrealised at 31 March 2011. The team now only concentrates on UK-based investments.
